The Ph.D. degree at Southeastern is an advanced research degree in the area of Christian Leadership. The Ph.D. in Christian Leadership is delivered in a modified residency format. Each seminar is delivered over the normal period of other seminars and contains an on-campus experience as well as supplemental asynchronous components before and after the on-campus experience.

LED 9202 - Reading Seminar 2 2 semester hr(s).
LED 9320 - Biblical Foundations for Leadership 3 semester hr(s).
LED 9380 - Leadership Development 3 semester hr(s).
LED 9340 - Qualitative & Quantitative Methods in Data Analysis 3 semester hr(s).
LED 9335 - Leadership, Management & Organizational Theory 3 semester hr(s).
LED 9385 - Change Leadership 3 semester hr(s).
LED 9390 - Conflict and Church Leadership 3 semester hr(s).
LED 9355 - The Personal Life of the Leader 3 semester hr(s).
IND 9400 - Specialized Ph.D. Research 3 semester hr(s).
PHD 9501 - Mentor Directed Studies I 3 semester hr(s).
PHD 9502 - Mentor Directed Studies II 3 semester hr(s).
Students must demonstrate competency in two research languages (0 hrs)
PHD 9800 - Written & Oral Comprehensive Exams 4 semester hr(s).
PHD 9850 - PHD Prospectus 1 semester hr(s).
PHD 9900 - PHD Dissertation 4 semester hr(s). Students must register for 16 hrs of PhD Dissertation.
PHD 9950 - PHD Dissertation Defense 1 semester hr(s).
*Note: under the supervision and prior approval of the Ph.D. Director and the student’s major professor, students can request to substitute two seminars for an area of his or her specific research interests. The two seminars that may be substituted are LED 9340 - Qualitative & Quantitative Methods in Data Analysis and LED 9355 - The Personal Life of the Leader .
